AIRinVET - Applied and Innovation Research in Vocational Education and Training
The objectives of the project are:
- Identification and evaluation of methods and designs of applied research and innovation research for updating existing curricula in (inter-)company-based and school-based vocational education.
- Development of an Open Online Trainer/Teacher offering for the practice-oriented use of applied research methods, with the aim of clarifying the qualification needs in different domains and updating existing curricula
Procedure:
- Phase: Identification of applied research methods and innovation research in vocational education (literature review / best practice) from all partner countries
- Phase: Development of a framework setting out under which conditions and in which dimensions applied research and innovation research is helpful for the further development of European vocational education
- Phase: Identification of the qualification needs of SMEs by applying and evaluating selected concrete research methods, with the aim of improving/updating existing company-based, (vocational) school-based and university curricula (development of a survey design for practitioners, trainers, instructors and teachers)
- Phase: Design and implementation of Open Online Trainer/Teacher Courses with the aim of testing the survey design and providing training on it
- Phase: Extrapolation and dissemination of results into regional and supraregional contexts
